================================================================================ Title: Optical variability of a newly discovered blazar sample from the BZCAT Catalog Authors: Kalita N., Gupta A.C., Gu M. ================================================================================ Description of contents: This tar.gz archive file contains the data behind Figure 1, including the differential R- and V- band light curves. The data are provided in two files: dbf1-r.txt = 13407d711dd3d4a5e2ad345ef6649e28 dbf1-v.txt = edb9cf97a4eb0cd2752a4ed7251837bf The files contain the differential magnitude of the source and of a comparison star (CS1 in Table 4) relative to a reference standard star. System requirements: The files are formatted according to the machine readable format used by the AAS Journals and CDS/VizieR. Specific information on the structure of MRT files can be found at: AAS: https://journals.aas.org/mrt-overview/ CDS: http://cds.u-strasbg.fr/doc/catstd.htx These files can be read in python using the astropy package: from astropy.table import Table data = Table.read("dbf1-v.txt", format="ascii.cds") or with the most recent version of TOPCAT (> Version 4.8) Additional comments: Basic parameters of the Roma BZCAT catalog blazars studied in the paper are presented in Table 2. Positions and magnitudes of the reference and comparison stars used for differential photometry of the balzar sample are given in Table 4. The data files provided here contain the differential magnitude of the sources and one of their respective comparison star (CS1) relative to a reference star. For details please see section 2.1 in the paper. ================================================================================
